Gluten, Dairy Free Halloween

As the weather cools and pumpkins abound, it’s time to prepare for happy and healthy gluten-free Holidays. Halloween is just around the corner. But are you ready for a healthier, gluten and dairy free trick or treat?

Below are several all-natural and organic gluten and dairy free candy options for you and your children this Halloween:

  • Surf Sweets: Made with only natural colors and flavors, Surf Sweets gummy candies and jelly beans use only organic fruit juice for sweeteners, and provide you with your daily allowance of Vitamin C. No corn syrup in there! Surf Sweets are not available in small trick or treat friendly packages, but they’re perfect for a Halloween party spread or if you’re just feeling generous enough to give out whole bags.
  • Crispy Cat: These scrumptious bars may have been created as “energy snacks” but their taste may have you fooled! You’ll find nothing but organic, gluten and dairy free ingredients in these yummy bars. Available in coconut, almond and chocolate bars.
  • Pure Fun: Organic, vegan, kosher, gluten-free and fair trade. What more could you want in a candy! Pure Fun serves us gluten and dairy free lollipops, candy canes, meltdowns, fruit slices, pinwheels, fruit rocks, barrels of fun jaw boulders and glee gum.
  • Glee Gum: Vegetarian, Additive Free, Lactose Free, Dairy Free, Wheat Free, Gluten Free, Casein Free, Egg Free, Yeast Free, Nut Free, and Peanut Free. Glee Gum will make your mouth sing! Free of artificial ingredients like plastic-containing gum bases, Glee is a healthier alternative for chewing. Available in Halloween-sized mini boxes or full sized packets.

Of course, there are also plenty of healthy, naturally gluten-free options like fruits and raisins. But come on, it’s Halloween, have a little sugar!

Kristen Campbell and her "wonder dog" Waylon are both severely intolerant to gluten. Celiac? Perhaps. But they've never had the endoscopy to tell (human or dog--does that exist?). Fortunately, they found each other! When Kristen isn't busy at work, she loves mixing up natural, gluten-free beauty products under her self titled line, spending time with her favorite "wonder dog" and catching up with friends.

  1. What a great list! If anyone is looking for a list of all types of gluten-free candy I spent most of the day today researching this very subject and have compiled a list at http://glutenfreerecipebox.com/gluten-free-candy-list

I have been trying to determine if PEEPS are truely GF or not.
I think the white ones (Bunnies, Ghosts, Snowmen) might be.
But many of the others all contain Yellow #6 and other color additives that I am highly suspect of.
    Anyone have any clues here?
